Dave Ulliot


When you mention the names of great players in poker you cannot leave out Dave Ulliot. Dave is one of the best players in the history of poker. He has earned millions of money while gambling and has several titles to his name. This star was born in Hull England in on April 1st 1954. He developed an interest in playing card games at a very young age and you would find him playing games at home and at school in order to win money. Dave visited his first casino at the age of 16 where he began playing three card brag. He enjoyed this game so much to the extent that he became hooked to poker. At this age he has already dropped out of high school and was doing odd jobs to get money to gamble with.

To support his gambling addiction Dave joined a crew of men who used to break peoples safes in order to get money. He was arrested and imprisoned for nine months. Even after going to prison he did not change his ways and came out a worse man. He was arrested severally for public fighting and armed robbery. He served a year and a half in federal prison after being arrested for armed robbery. This time he came out a reformed man and got married. The couple opened a legit pawn shop which was later expanded to a jewelry shop. He continued to play poker on the side which helped him to add to his earnings. His days as a criminal helped him out when he encountered robbers who wanted to steal his money as he was not afraid to fight. At some point he became so good at the game that no one wanted to play with him and this led him to joining the pro game.

He began his career by playing in London events in the early 1990′s. He would frequently play international games once in a while and this made him win the 500 dollar pot in Las Vegas. This was his first international win. In the same year he entered the first world series of poker where he won a gold bracelet in the 2000 dollar pot limit event. He was not always a winner and experienced a few losses but this did not break his heart as he continued making many other wins which made his losses become insignificant. He also won various tournaments and in 2003 he earned his largest tournament which was a $589,000 haul. To date he still lives in Hull with his wife and seven children. When he is not at the tables gambling, Dave enjoys listening to music and making it and weight training.

Dave has an attitude when he is playing poker and arrives with a dapper black suit or a tuxedo with slicked back hair and a hand tooled gold jewelry. He has a British accent and always means business when he is playing. He has rugged look which can scare you off if you are playing with him. Dave is one of the persons who are living large with his earnings from poker as he lives a very lavish lifestyle with the numerous earnings he has gotten from playing pro poker.

In Britain he is ranked as one of the best players in the world and is one of the most recognizable faces in the poker world. He has won over five million games. One of his favorite games is the pot limit 4 card Omaha high and has had numerous winnings in it. His favorite movie is once upon a time in America and he likes to visit Minorca. One of his favorite celebrities is Princess Diana. He has respect for Johnny Chan as a poker player because he has given him a run for his money several times. If he was to change anything in the world it would be to find cure for the diseases which do not have. If he was to change anything in the poker world it would be increased corporate sponsorship so that the players would never be broke.

Dave has made appearances in television shows such as late night poker. Here he played a game with several professionals and he won with more than 1.5 million people watching. The show lasted for five seasons and Dave appeared in all of them. He is considered the best five card player in Northern England as he has won all the games he has participated in. Live tournament winnings have won him over 5 million dollars which makes him one of the best paid poker players in the world. His name is a house hold name in England and is even mentioned in some of the programs which are produced in the country. The player attributes his success to many years of practice which makes him get better and better as time passes. He is also very aggressive and has a winner’s attitude which helps him to win most of his games.
