Greg Raymer

Greg Raymer was born in 1964 in North Dakota where he started as a patent lawyer before he decided to enroll in the poker game as a career, and which he has retained ever since. Though he never repeated the fete in subsequent Main Events, Greg Raymer continued a spree of success in other medium level World Series events including multiple appearances at tables and money events that have contributed to his net salary an overall sum of 650,000 Dollars. In 2007, the poker star together with five others represented the United States in the PokerStars World Cup of Poker and contributed to the historic win of the team. At the 2005 WSOP Main event he finished in the 35th position securing a cash bonus of 304,680 Dollars whereas in the 2006 WSOP No limit 2-7 Draw Lowball, Greg Raymer finished fifth with earnings of 93,124 Dollars cushioned by buy outs of 5000 Dollars.

His personal time is spent in recreational pleasurable activities like playing golf. He is a big fan of computer puzzle games and other online games. The lifestyle of the portly Poker star is highlighted by his humorous presence and trademark eye glasses. He has a friendly demeanor and is touted as easy to work with. Greg Raymer promotes his career by appearing in television poker ads that has made him a household name in the United States. He also acts as the game’s ambassador in formal and informal circles being accredited with the duty of a champion who has cut an edge too soon and suddenly. Greg Raymer has left a mark on the consciousness of his fans across the world who besiege him for his autograph which he is always ready to sign. He contributes regularly to commentary sessions where he shares his theories about poker.
